the shanellephant

so, i went to the beach yesterday. i had a lotta fun. so, as we all know...we've had some icky weather lately. it's either hot and humid or raining and humid. now, dont get me wrong..i LOVE the rain..just not when it's gross out. and it was...gross out. as we were approaching the beach in the vehicular mobile, i looked out on the water...and saw a beautiful horizon. i was in awe.
this picture doesn't even begin to capture what i saw. oh well. so, we get out of the car and sat around and waited for the other carload of people to get a parking spot. so, we get out on the sand. it was a healthy temperature. nice and warm. so, we all get ready and go out. the waves were huge. luckily they weren't super powerful. but i did get eaten. :D

the waves were seriously like, 12 million feet tall. if you look very closely, you'll see megan standing on her boogie board(she tried for ever to get up on it. go you!) and im on top on my sea doo. :P

so, we had a lot of fun. i loooove gloomy days. i love looking at the clouds. i love the clouds when they are completely flat on the bottom and puffy all around. i just love the color of the sky. it was like, grey and yellow and stuff. it was neat.


we also sat and watched a sandpiper run around. that was really neat.

so, essentially, it was a fantastic day. even the sunset was crazy. tally told us about how right when the sun sets, there is a green flash. i saw it but i didn't say anything.

after the sun had gone down, me and megan went and put our feet in the water. we had a good convo. my hole was totally bigger than hers. haha. the water was actually quite warm.

tally found waldo. we went to the backpack party. well, we almost did.
